The Artificial Intelligence Lab at the Gabelli School of Business is engaged in the development and advancement of artificial intelligence and deep machine-learning theories and applications to further the understanding of AI in organizations and society at large. The lab also explores how these techniques can be brought to bear to solve key business and social problems.
The lab’s aim is to conduct research in the AI and deep machine-learning aspects of cognitive science, search and problem-solving, planning, knowledge representation, machine learning, reasoning, natural language processing, speech recognition, robotics, and vision. Additional topics include fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, and complex neural networks. The ethics of artificial intelligence are also addressed.
