2022 -2023

The following students have been appointed as the Fellows of the Center for Digital Transformation for the year 2022-23. Working under the supervision of Professor Raghupathi, they are examining the relationship between ICT indicators and the Quality of Life indicators. Using the World Bank data, their research shows that, even after adjusting for the GDP per capita and the size of the population, citizens of countries with higher ICT adoption enjoy a better quality of life.

Nghia Bui

Nghia Bui is a graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Business Analytics at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. Prior to Fordham, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Australia, majoring in economics and finance.

As a fellow at the Center for Digital Transformation, he is working on a visual analytics project in which he is studying the correlation between development in ICTs and the quality of life on a country level. Throughout this project, he has not only showcased a remarkable ability to utilize and optimize various analytical tools, but also his proficiency in languages such as Python and SQL.

Nghia is determined to expand his knowledge in the field of business analytics and secure a position that allows him to apply those skills and advance his career. Presently, he is working as a Graduate Assistant at Fordham University while actively seeking opportunities to enhance his expertise.

Andrea Riccardi

Andrea Riccardi is a master’s candidate specializing in business analytics at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. He earned a Bachelor’s in Business Economics from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan (Italy). With his expertise in data analysis and mastery of numerous analytical tools, Andrea excels at extracting valuable insights and providing strategic recommendations. He recently has been engaged with commissioned projects such as a stock market sentiment analysis, a web marketing strategic plan, and data visualization academic research. He currently is investigating the association between ICTs and Quality of Life, working on a project at the Design LAB of the Center for Digital Transformation. Through these activities, Andrea has developed a complete set of analytical skills, enhancing his problem-solving aptitude.

Carmen Luisa “Camille” So 

Carmen Luisa is a graduate student pursuing an M.S. in Business Analytics at the Gabelli School of Business. She completed her undergraduate studies at Ateneo de Manila University, where she earned a degree in Management with a minor in Information Technology. During her time at Fordham, Carmen has demonstrated an aptitude for optimizing business analytics tools, such as Tableau, SPSS Modeler, and Oracle APEX. Additionally, she has developed proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, enabling her to derive valuable business insights and solve real-world problems through data-driven approaches.
Carmen’s hands-on experience stems from her active involvement in data science and business case competitions, research projects led by esteemed Fordham professors, and Graduate assistantship work. Currently, she is involved in a visual analytics study, focused on exploring the correlation between ICT development and Life Quality at a country-level scale under the Design LAB of the Center for Digital Transformation, unraveling complex societal dynamics and proposing data-driven solutions.

Yijie Xu

Yijie Xu is a graduate student pursuing the M.S. in Business Analytics at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. By participating in on-campus and off-campus activities, he was able to put what he learned into practice and receive feedback on projects that further fueled his ambition in honing his skills.
